Jim Becker is one of those 'crazed' high lakes fishermen and a good friend of mine. Often when he and his gang are going to be fishing in an area where there might be a mountain I would like to climb Jim gives me a call. This time they are going to fish Hibox Lake. Jim has an encyclopedic knowledge of hundreds of high mountain lakes... when they were last planted, with what type fish, what the natural food supply is at that particular lake, how fast those fingerlings will grow etc, etc. And of course the most important bit of knowledge... if it is the year to harvest some real lunkers from that lake.

After getting on top of Hibox Mtn I can see that I will have to go down over 3000' and cross Mineral Creek before heading back up to regain all my lost elevation to top out on the main Three Queens summit. I am going to have to really move to get back to the trailhead at the appointed time.

Will have some pictures to show you later with the 'rest of the story'.
