I'm on top! I can only see about a hundred feet in any direction and the rock drops away everywhere I look, peering into the murk. But there is no summit cairn or register so I am concerned as to whether this is the main peak of Formidable. I really don't have time to run the ridge to the north to see if I may be on the middle peak rather than the main summit. So I start down feeling a bit disappointed. When will I ever get a chance to climb this immense and isolated mountain again and be certain I have reached the true summit?
